Expanding Access to TB Prevention Through Integrated School Outreach

In a significant milestone, the SIGHT Project integrated Tuberculosis (TB) screening into school outreach activities for the first time, expanding opportunities for early identification and prevention among learners.

Through this initiative, 1,211 learners were screened for TB, with 41 learners referred for Tuberculosis Preventive Therapy (TPT). The integration of TB services into youth-focused outreach activities demonstrates the project’s commitment to providing comprehensive health interventions that address HIV, TB, and SRHR needs among adolescents and young people. This approach has strengthened early detection, improved referral pathways, and ensured that young people have increased access to preventive health services within their communities.
