CHAZ Project: Empowering Adolescents in Kazungula and Choma Districts: TYP Completes CBD Training and Launches Life Skills Training for Community Educators

The CBD training programs, conducted in Kazungula and Choma districts, equipped peer educators with essential skills to champion adolescent health in their communities. The comprehensive training covered topics such as:
- Adolescent health and development
- Sexual and reproductive health rights
- Contraceptive options and informed decision-making
- Effective engagement and communication skills
- Provision of youth-friendly services and support
WHAT'S NEXT - LIFE SKILLS TRAINING FOR COMMUNITY EDUCATORS
Building on the success of the CBD training, TYP will now focus on training 68 Community Educators in life skills to empower adolescents and reduce teenage pregnancy rates. This training program will cover essential life skills such as:
- Self-awareness and self-esteem
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Decision-making and problem-solving
- Healthy relationships and boundaries
- Goal-setting and future planning
