RAHi 2026 is the sixth Regional Adolescent Health Indaba: a regional accountability mechanism, scientific exchange and policy-drafting assembly led by young people across East and Southern Africa.
The programme carries evidence from 30 District Adolescent Health Indabas and 10 Provincial Adolescent Health Indabas into a 600-delegate regional dialogue. Young people, ministries, technical agencies, researchers and partners will co-author practical implementation roadmaps across five health pillars.
The regional agenda begins with evidence gathered close to young people and ends with commitments that can be tracked after the conference.
Biomedical acceleration, equitable access and youth-friendly delivery of next-generation prevention choices.
Rapid point-of-care diagnostics and peer-led express testing networks beyond syndromic management.
Bodily autonomy, legal alignment and adolescent-centred contraceptive self-care.
Integrated clinical, legal and psychosocial response with cross-border continuity of protection.
Peer-led support and Mental Health First Aid embedded in primary care and education.
Bring evidence from 30 DAHi and 10 PAHi processes together with regional datasets to identify the gaps young people experience.
Align health, education, local government and youth systems around practical adolescent health delivery.
Equip youth advocates to track commitments, budgets and ring-fenced investment for youth-friendly services.
Evaluate proven youth-led and digital health models and build pathways for institutional adoption.
Every major assembly, steering committee, plenary and multi-ministerial examination is chaired by designated young leaders.
At least 60% of abstract presentations, thematic tracks, panels and side events are moderated or co-moderated by professionals under 30.
Institutional submissions must include an adolescent or young person under 30 as a primary or co-author. Abstract submission is separate from conference registration; only approved abstracts enter the full or partial scholarship pathway.

The Regional Adolescent Health Indaba (RAHi) is The Youth Platform Three Sixty's flagship regional accountability, scientific exchange and policy-drafting assembly for adolescent health. RAHi 2026 mandates youth chairmanship for every major assembly and at least 60% youth moderation across scientific and programme sessions.
RAHi 2026 takes place from 9 to 11 December 2026 in Lusaka, Zambia. The full programme runs across all three days.
Any young person passionate about adolescent health and rights may register as a delegate, subject to available places. Abstract applicants follow a separate review pathway; only approved abstracts receive full or partial scholarship awards.
Pricing is tiered by delegate category and how early you book. Early-bird rates start at USD 70 for students and young people, with Local, Regional (SADC) and International rates. Your pass covers conference access, materials, lunch and teas across all three days — and the earlier you register, the more you save.
